Your visits with me are unlike any prenatal visit you would have with a doctor. Our face to face time is 45-60 minutes. Family members are always welcome and soon-to-be big brothers and sisters love to help with appointments and bond with the new baby. Our visits are exactly that; a visit. Time to get to know one another while discussing all your concerns, joys, and plans. Midwifery care is ideal for first time pregnancies as we have the time to talk, plan and give support. My all-in-home option is ideal for families that already have children at home. You do not have to sit in a clinic waiting room or disrupt your other children's schedule for a prenatal visit.

The way a child is treated at a home birth is so very different than in a hospital. At home the room is warm and dimly lit. It is quiet and the first voices baby hears are likely to be those of Mom and Dad. Commonly Mom or Dad are the one catching baby and bringing baby to Mom's chest. Siblings or grandparents may be present as well. Home birth babies rarely cry because they have an easy and gentle transition. Baby doesn't leave the parents presence. During a home birth the other family members can be involved as much as the mother is comfortable with having them involved. Please contact me to discover if home birth is the right choice for you.

 Sometimes breastfeeding isn't easy, sometimes you need help. As a board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) I can help with many issues including latch, tongue tie evaluation and suck re-training, positioning, flat nipples, supply issues, special needs babies and many more. I also teach breastfeeding and pumping classes.

Consultations can be in Buffalo, Zimmerman or in your home.

$150 for initial consult $175 for in home initial consult (within 30 miles of Zimmerman, higher fee for farther)

$100 follow up office visit    

Initial consults usually last from 1-2 hours

Payment expected at time of visit. I will provide a receipt with coding so you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
